Back to Business

Things aren’t back to normal for me yet, but I feel like I’m starting to use recent personal events as an excuse to slide back into “screw it; I’ll just play video games” mode. It’s time to get back to work.

So where did I leave off? Oh. Right. The October Falls anthology.

I was deep into writing an original tale for “Welcome to October Falls”, but I’ve decided to delay that. I’ll still write it; it’s too good not to. But I think I’ll write ANOTHER new tale for this collection instead. What I’ve got in mind has less action, but is creepier, which I think the anthology needs a bit more of. It’s also (hopefully) quite a bit shorter. I’ve got the idea for it pretty much nailed down in my head, but I need to throw some flesh (details) onto the bones (vague outline in my head) before I start slinging prose. The plan is to get that done this week; write the story next week, go into proofreading/editing/formatting mode for a week or two, and finally get this thing published in a month.

That’s the plan, anyway. I’ll keep you guys informed on progress.

  1. I’ve been checking the site every week or two, so I’m glad to see you’re back. New stories have piqued my interest, but I always got frustrated with the teasing of potential stories and plots that never came about. Still, you’re back to writing as you can and I’m looking forward to this anthology.
