I just recently completed a Facebook ad campaign for my mailing list and it went pretty much the way I thought it would.
I got maybe 2 subscribers for my $35 bucks. Admittedly, $35 isn’t all that much, but with results this bad, this isn’t something I can scale up to see if numbers improve. I’ll try again at some point, but for now my opinion that paid advertising is voodoo has been reaffirmed.
Marketing in general, however, will continue. Next I’ll try running a free promotion with my “Henry County Horror” anthology and see if that gets me anything substantially different than the LAST time I tried it. That’ll probably happen in the next couple of weeks.
Meanwhile, I’ve got some writing to do. Those energies will be split between my new novel and a new short story that members of my reading list will see first. I’ll keep you posted.
