I’ve posted the first video of the Book of Dark Places story “Saint Noir” on Youtube. I’ll be posting one video a week until it’s done.
To avoid spoilers, I won’t go into too much detail on the story. It’s not a detective story with a horror twist… it’s a supernatural horror tale dropped into the middle of a crime drama. The concept, especially the antagonist’s end goal, is a question that I’ve wanted to explore for a while. “Saint Noir” is one possible answer to that question.
The implementation is a step up from what I did on Damnation Denied, but is still bare-bones and amateurish… which is a shame, since the story, in my opinion, is quite good. I played around with more sound effects and even some music at one point. It was definitely produced during the “fun” period, before I got tired, overworked, and bogged down in the BODP project.

I’m currently watching Daredevil season 1 on Netflix and enjoying it. The character Wilson Fisk, who I looked up and discovered is The Kingpin, reminds me very much of December, and the actor also fits my mental image oder him.
I think you might like this show.
