________________________________ DEAD RECKONING Gameplay/Controls ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ ______________________________ MOUSE CONTROLS: Move mouse pointer, your fighter will follow. Press left button to fire; right button to switch weapons. Press space to pause/resume. ______________________________ GAMEPAD CONTROLS: Left analog stick or D-pad to move. Button 1 to fire, button 8 (usually a shoulder button) to switch weapons. Button 7 (other shoulder button) to pause/resume. (User control configuration coming... eventually) ______________________________ WEAPONS: #1: Particle beam, aka IMPALER. Tightly focused forward-firing beam, best damage against single target. #2: Homing missiles, aka TRACKER. Low damage, no need to aim, great against clusters of small enemies via spash damage. #3: Scatter shot, aka SHREDDER. Medium damage, can be aimed in any direction when not firing. (More weapons coming soon) Each weapon has 5 power settings, all starting at 1 when the game starts. Collect powerups (round 'P' object) from certain enemies to increase the power of the current weapon by 1. When hit by enemy fire, power level of current weapon is decreased by 1. Power level of each weapon is indicated by the weapon's icon (at top of screen) filling up; when power of current weapon is full, powerups reward points instead. Learn to switch weapons frequently, selecting the right weapon as the situation demands. Don't waste powerups on full weapons when others have room.
